By Melissa DeBrigida-Parent Philly’s own Tom Keifer (Cinderella) and his #keiferband brought their "Live and Loud 2023" tour to The Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA on June 30, 2023. Accompanying Keifer on this tour is another beloved Philly musician, John "Crabby" Corabi (The Scream, Union, Motley Crue, Ratt, The Dead Daisies), and rockers Winger. Opening the night, Corabi belted out a powerful acoustic set that included career-spanning songs such as "Father, Mother, Son" (The Scream), "Love, I Don't Need It Anymore" (Union), "Hooligan's Holiday" (Motley Crue), "Dead And Gone" (The Dead Daisies), and "Man In The Moon" (The Scream). Not only did he win the crowd over with his humor, but he also showcased why he's considered one of the great voices of rock 'n' roll. At the end of this tour, Corabi will be heading back out on the road again, this time with The Dead Daisies. Catch them if you can, and you'll thank me later! As a side note, I just finished reading Crab's book "Horseshoes and Hand Grenades." It's great reading and highly recommended! Check out John Corabi's website johncorabi.com and The Dead Daisies' website thedeaddaisies.com. Next on stage to perform was Winger. The band came out with the energy and mojo that we've all loved for the past thirty-plus years. Kip Winger, Reb Beach, and the band took us back in time with hits like "Seventeen," "Can't Get Enough," "Easy Come, Easy Go," "Headed For A Heartbreak," and "Miles Away." They also included a few songs from their 2023 album "Seven," such as "Stick the Knife in and Twist" and "Proud Desperado," which received great feedback from the crowd. Visit Winger's website wingertheband.com for more information. With the audience primed and ready to rock, the lights dimmed, the intro music started, and the #keiferband took the stage as the crowd erupted. The high-energy set was jam-packed with bluesy rock fan favorites, including "Hot & Bothered," "Heartbreak Station," "Coming Home," "Nobody's Fool," and "Shake Me." They also performed a few newer songs from the "Rise" album released in 2019, such as "Life Was Here" and "The Death Of Me," as well as "Solid Ground" from the "The Way Life Goes" album released in 2013. Throughout the killer set and three-song encore, Keifer and the band gave their all to this hometown crowd, leaving no question as to their dedication and love of performing live. It was a night of REAL LIVE MUSIC—doesn't get any better than this. Check out the performance videos below and the photo slideshows displayed in this article.
