This was the fifth time that I have saw Motley Crue live. I must say that each time I have witnessed them they have been on their "A" Game. Motley CRUE is known for their loud and fast riffs just as they are known for their sexual prowess on the stage. The band always has half naked women on stage to set the tone for their shows. One can only imagine seeing THE CRUE live back when they were dominating the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles at the Whiskey and Troubadour. I so wish that I could have witnessed them then in their early stages of stardom. Motley CRUE is made up of Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars. Each band member brings a different personality to the table and I feel that this only strengthens their makeup as a Band.
MOTLEY CRUE has set quite a legacy and will always be remembered for their party atmosphere on and off the stage. But sometimes, it is lost that they are actually a Great Band musically and multi talented. Each of these members have had their own side projects. Nikki Sixx is the founder of the band SIXX AM, who will actually be releasing their newest album in the next few weeks. The Band chronicles Nikki Sixx and his battle with depression and addiction. If you have never done so, pick up a copy of THE HEROIN DIARIES and you will get a sense of how far Nikki has come. I mean, he was almost dead numerous times folks. During this show at Camden, we were treated to an epic speech by Nikki himself. Check it out:
